If the module is not working properly, refer to Table
problems, possible causes, and recommended actions to resolve the problem.

Recommended Action
Ensure that the DFE module was installed
properly according to the installation
instructions in Chapter 3, and that the
host chassis is providing power.
Refer to the Enterasys Matrix DFE-
Platinum Series Configuration Guide for
proper setup procedures.
Refer to Appendix A for proper COM port
pinouts.
If possible, attempt to download the
image to the DFE module again. Refer to
"Setting the Mode Switches" on page B-2
for instructions to clear NVRAM.
If the username/password combination
has been forgotten, refer to
Mode Switches" on page B-2 for
instructions on how to set the mode
switch to reset the username/password
combination to the default values.
