5.2 Using the lapping film

1. Open the top cover and remove the labels.
When you are using the T4xxTT series, remove the ribbon
before cleaning.
2. Pass the lapping film through the thermal head and platen roller
and lock the head.
3. Pull the lapping film as shown below.
The sandy side of the lapping film should be facing upwards.
Repeat this procedure several times.
4. Clean the thermal head with a cloth that is soaked with the head
cleaning liquid.
