4. Place the core with the new carbon ribbon on to the spindle to be

positioned at the back of the printer. Place the empty core on the

spindle to be placed at the front, with the carbon ribbon face

outwards. With the carbon ribbon wound loosely, slot the spindles

back into position, making sure the carbon ribbon runs under the

print head.

5. There are three possible positions for the spindles, depending on the

ribbon width. Insert to the necessary position by pressing the lock

button and ensure the ribbon sits against the side of the lock button.

6. With the carbon ribbon running under the print head unit, tighten the

ribbon by twisting the roll-up knob in a clockwise direction.

Wind on the ribbon several times.
