-When a service call message is shown on the display panel
Press [Exit]. Then turn the main switch off and back on again. If a service code
appears again, contact your service representative.
Note
❒ If a service code appears on the display panel after you turn the main switch
off and on a few times, do not continue turning it on and off. Leave the ma-
chine off.
❒ When you make masters continuously using originals with solid images,
"SC203" tends to appear on the display panel. In this case, turn off the main
switch and wait for a while. Then turn on the main switch.

Causes

The master image previously
printed is larger than the paper.
The image exceeds the paper
size.
The duplex unit is not set cor-
rectly.
Two-sided printing cannot be
performed on the selected paper
size.
Thick paper was used for two-
sided printing.
Two-sided printing was select-
ed, but the selected paper size is
smaller than A4 portrait.
Solutions
Turn the operation switch off
and on.
If the message appears again,
contact your service representa-
tive.
Make prints after pressing [Exit]
and selecting the paper size
again.
Set the duplex unit correctly.
Specify one of the following Du-
plex mode-compatible sizes:
" × 11"K and B5
1
A4K, 8 /
2
JISK.
Change to a thinner, and then
start the print job again.
Set A4K size paper, and then
start the print job again.
