Cleaning the Fuser Unit Area

When it is time to replace the toner cartridge, it is time
to clean the fuser unit area. Over time, toner residue and
paper dust accumulate within the printer. Each time you
replace the toner cartridge, you should remove this
buildup to keep your printer running smoothly.
Follow these steps to clean the fuser unit area.
WARNING!
Fuser may be very hot. Allow 45
minutes for fuser assembly to cool before touching.
1. Remove the toner cartridge from the printer, as
described on page 7-3.
2. With a soft cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol,
remove any dirt from the feed guide section.
