Installing the M40e Craft Interface on the Front Impeller Assembly

To attach the craft interface to the front impeller assembly:
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis. For more information about ESD,
see "Preventing Electrostatic Discharge Damage to an M Series, MX Series, or T Series
Router" on page 232.
Place the replacement impeller assembly top side up on an antistatic mat on a flat,

stable surface.
Attach the craft interface to the front of the impeller assembly, making sure that the

hooks on the back of the craft interface clip securely into the windows on the front of
the impeller assembly (see "Removing the M40e Craft Interface from the Front Impeller
Assembly" on page 173).
