Option Explanation
-S
Defines a valid server. The names of the connecting servers are
compared against this list. Short names can be used and will be
expanded for the local domain.
-U
Defines a valid username on the connecting machine.
-X
Defines the fixed commands. Each command has a single letter or
digit key ("X:[0-9a-zA-Z]").

15.7.4 Adminc Thin Client Controller

Adminc distributes commands to thin clients running adminc. It sends a com-
mand string to list of IP addresss. Adminc will attempt to connect to clients in
parallel up to a specified maximum number.

15.7.5 Command Line Options

AdminD has the following command line optional command line arguments:
adminc [–port] <portno>
[–parallel] <maxparallel>
[–commands] <keys> IP [IP*]
adminc [–wake] MAC [MAC*]
Option
Explanation
--port
Port number that admind listens on. Default is 8888.
--parallel
Maximum number of parallel sessions to start. Default is 8.
--commands Command keys to be sent to clients. These are specified in
the client's admind.conf file.
--wake
Ether-wake command is executed to start clients.
