IMPORTANT: There are seven users, each representing a different user type you might need on
your network.
Although the user names are unusual, they should help you track home directory locations and
service access at a glance.
Each name includes "edir" to indicate that eDirectory users have access to the traditional Novell
services highlighted in this guide:
Novell AFP (Macintosh networking)
Novell CIFS (Windows networking)
Novell iFolder
NetStorage
The steps for creating users begin after

The difference between this user
and the linux1 user is that its home
directory is not adjusted for
privacy but has the default POSIX
permissions.
This user's home directory is
created by specifying the
HOME_NCP volume at user-
creation time in iManager.
When the instructions in this
section are complete, the user has
access to only the traditional
Novell services: AFP, CIFS,
iFolder, and NetStorage.
