Adding Audio Tracks and Subtitles
5 How can you change the duration of a subtitle, so that it appears on screen longer?

1 Select the timeline, and then choose Timeline > Add Audio Track. Drag the audio file
onto the new audio track.
2 Choose the language from the pop-up menu next to the name of the audio track in the
Timeline window.
3 Only one audio track can play at a time. If you want to play both music and a voice-
over, for example, merge the audio files in an audio-editing application before you import
the file into Adobe Encore DVD.
4 You can type directly onto the Monitor window with the text tool, or import a text
script.
5 Place the cursor over the end of the bar in the subtitle track until it becomes a double-
sided arrow, and then drag it to the new in or out point in the timeline.
