As you drag over the items in the Project window, notice that the pick whip does not select
the AVI files. Only timelines and menus may be linked to buttons. Because the Kiss
timeline has only one chapter (marked by the default chapter point at the beginning of
the timeline), that chapter is automatically selected.
When you activate the The Kiss button, the Kiss timeline will play. Earlier in this lesson,
you set the default end action for the Kiss timeline to play the Door timeline.
However, you want a different end action when you activate this button. The
Outtakes_Indiv menu should appear immediately after the Kiss timeline has finished
playing. You will create an override to set this behavior.
4 Drag the Override pick whip from the Properties palette to the Outtakes_Indiv menu
in the Project window.
The Override field in the Properties palette reads Outtakes_Indiv: Default. When the
timeline ends, the Individual Outtakes menu will appear with the default button selected.
However, for this project, you want the button for the next scene to be selected. For
example, after you click the The Kiss button, the Kiss timeline plays, and the The Door
button is already selected when the menu reappears. To accomplish this, you'll relink the
override to a specific button in a menu.
5 In the Project window, click the Menus tab.
