Assembling a DVD Quickly

1 You can drag an asset from the Project window to the Library palette. Alternatively, you
can click the Add Item button in the Library palette, and then select the file you want to
add.
2 Right-click the menu in the Library palette, and choose Set as Default Menu from the
context menu.
3 Adobe Encore DVD performs several tasks when you drag a video asset onto the Menu
Editor window:
• A timeline is created for the video asset.
• A new button is created, using the default button in the Library palette.
• The button is linked to the timeline.
• The End Action field for the timeline is set to return to the menu.
• The Menu Remote field for the timeline is set to return to the menu.
4 Select the buttons you want to resize, and then drag a corner handle. All the buttons
resize at once.
5 Select the buttons you want to align and choose Object > Align, and choose the side
along which you want to align them. The buttons are aligned with the position of the first
button you select.
