Assembling a DVD Quickly
1 Choose File > Import as Asset.
If Import as Asset is dimmed, click the Project window to make it active, and then choose
File > Import as Asset.
2 Navigate to the Lesson 05 folder. Select Dibble.avi, Pine.avi, and Stewart.avi in the
Lesson 05 folder, and then click Open. Press the Ctrl key to select multiple files.
The files appear in the Project window.
3 Drag the Dibble.avi file from the Project window onto the Menu Editor window.
Adobe Encore DVD performed several tasks when you dragged the video asset onto the
Menu Editor window:
• The default button appears in the menu.
• A new timeline was created for the video asset.
• The button was linked to the new timeline. When you play or preview the DVD,
activating the button will play the linked timeline.
• The End Action field for the timeline has been set to return to the menu.
• The Menu Remote field for the timeline has been set to return to the menu.
4 Drag the Pine.avi and Stewart.avi assets onto the Menu Editor window. To select them
both, press the Ctrl key as you select them, and then release it before you drag them.
