Before You Begin - Xerox DocuColor DocuColor 4 User Manual

Before using the DocuColor 4 LP/CP, follow these general steps:
Confirm that the system administrator has completed printer Setup as described in the
Administrator Guide.
Find out what printer/copier defaults have been specified in Setup.
These default settings can affect the results of your print jobs. Check with your adminis-
trator for information on these default settings.
Confirm that the user software is installed correctly on your workstation, as described
in this manual.
Find out whether the DocuColor 4 LP/CP is set up to use the Fiery WebTools and what
your access privileges are.
Your system or site administrator may or may not have enabled access to the DocuColor
4 LP/CP via the Internet (or an intranet). If access is enabled, a password may be required
to perform printer/copier setup or job management.
Also, the System Administrator may have enabled password for Tools on the DocuColor
4 CP, in which case the scanner configuration requires a password to access.
