You can copy documents using the color or monochrome mode. You can
also specify a document quality to use. This enables you to obtain copies
which are closer to the documents in quality. In the color mode, the follow-
ing document quality types are available for selection.
Document quality
Color (Text/Photo)
Color (Printed Photo)
Color (Photo on Photographic paper)
B/W (Text/Photo)
B/W (Text)
The following is the procedure for selecting a color mode for copying.

Operation procedure
(1) Position the oirginal.
For detailed information on how to position an oiriginal, see "Chapter 8 Po-
sitioning Originals."
(2) Press the [Original Type] button.
The Original Type selection screen appears on the display.

Description
Use this setting when you are copying a document containing both
text and photos in the color mode. (This is the default setting when
the machine is shipped at the factory.)
Use this setting when you are copying printed photos (catalogs, maga-
zines, etc.) in the color mode.
Use this setting when you are copying photos (negative films, devel-
oped photos), not printed matters, in the color mode.
Use this setting when you are copying a black and white document
containing both text and photos.
Use this setting when you are copying a black and white document
containing only text.
