1. Remove the oil sensor plug and metal gasket on the IR compressor and install the P545
control switch as shown in Figure 29. Use the metal gasket provided with the P545.
2. Break the connection from the control device (typically pressure controls) feeding the (T1)
terminal of the Copeland overload module and connect the wire to terminal (L) on the
IR SE-B module.
3. Disconnect the wire from terminal (L) on the Sentronic Oil failure control to (T2) on the
Copeland Overload and re-connect it from (M2) on the P545 control to terminal (14) on the
IR SE-B motor protection device.
4. Connect a jumper wire from (L) to terminal (11) on the IR SE-B motor protection device.
5. Connect the thermistor wires from the IR SE-B motor protection device to the motor
thermistor terminals.
6. Connect a wire from (M1) on the P545 to the compressor contactor coil.
7. Disconnect the wire from the (240/120V) connection on the Copeland Overload Module
To (L2) and reconnect it to (N) on the SE-B module.
8. Connect a wire from the (240/120V) connection on the P545 to (L2).

It is possible to use the switch from the P545 (the P400BD-1C) with the
Sentronic module, although the timeout will approach 120 seconds
instead of the 90 seconds in the P545 specifications.
