Polyolester Lubricant (IRPOE32) for Reciprocating
Compressors with an HFC Refrigerant
General
Ingersoll-Rand reciprocating compressors that are intended for use with chlorine free
HFC refrigerants (R404A, R507, etc.) shall be charged with a high quality polyolester
lubricant. IR POE 32 lubricant was formulated specifically for this purpose.
IRPOE32 polyolester lubricant provides good miscibility with HFC refrigerants, contrary
to conventional mineral oils, and is therefore the choice of polyolester lubricants when
using an HFC refrigerant. In addition, it has outstanding lubrication characteristics and a
favorable viscosity performance (high viscosity index).

Definition of the application ranges:
H: Air conditioning (evaporating temperatures greater than 40 F)
M: Medium temperature (evaporating temperatures between 0 and 40 F)
L: Low temperature (evaporating temperatures below 0 F)
