5. Disconnect the wire from the Low Pressure Control (typical) to terminal ( L ) on the
Copeland Sentronic Oil Control and connect it to terminal ( 11 ) on the INT 69/70.
6. Disconnect the wire from the contactor coil to terminal ( M) on the Sentronic and connect it to
terminal ( 14 ) on the INT 69/70.
7. Disconnect the wire from terminal ( A ) on the Sentronic and connect it to terminal ( 12 ) on
the INT 69/70. This would then be the Overload Alarm instead of Oil Failure Alarm. See item
#15 below.
8. Install the 24V transformer in the rack control panel. Connect the 24-volt power to terminals
( L ) & ( N ) on the INT 69/70.
9. Connect the black and brown wires from the sensor plug to terminals ( 1 ) & ( 2 ) on the
INT 69/70 .
10. Connect the black and brown wires from the INT 69/70 to the compressor terminals
marked ( L1 ) & ( L2 ) .
11. Connect the green wire from the INT 69/70 to one of the motor thermistor spade terminals
located on the compressor terminal plate behind the ground lug.
12. Connect the orange wire from the sensor plug and the orange wire from the
INT 69/70 to the other motor Thermistor spade connection using the piggyback
connector provided on the INT 69/70 orange wire.
13. Connect the red wire from the sensor plug to the terminal strip located in the
terminal box. Connect the red wire from the INT 69/70 the same terminal on this strip.
14. Disconnect the wire from the current sensing relay (if used) to the 240V terminal on the
Sentronic control and cap the wire.
15. Relay 1 in the INT 69/70 is Common on ( 11 ) and switches from ( 14 ) during normal
operation to ( 12 ) for Alarm when the motor winding set point temperature is exceeded.
16. Relay 2 in the INT 69/70 is common on ( 21 ) and closes contact to ( 24 ) when low oil
condition is indicated. An alarm can be wired across ( 21 ) and ( 24 ) as a contact closure, or
can be wired into the 24V circuit so an alarm device such as a light can be added.
17. To reset the INT 69/70 after an oil failure trip, the 24V power to the control must be
interrupted. A pushbutton momentary switch is shown on the line side of the transformer as
an option for this purpose.
