Operation / Maintenance
Regular checks
Examine the system regularly to ensure compliance to the specifications, and national
regulations.
Check the following:
Operating data
Oil supply
Protection devices and compressor monitoring parts (check valves, discharge gas
temperature limiter, pressure limiters)
Check electrical cable connections to insure that they are tight fitting.
Oil Changes
Oil changes are not normally necessary for factory-assembled systems.
installations" and for applications near the operating limits, a first oil change is
recommended after approximately 100 operating hours. This includes cleaning/replacing
the oil filter and magnetic plug.
After this initial change, it is recommended that the oil be replaced approximately every
three years or 10,000 to 12,000 operating hours. Also replace the oil filter and clean the
magnetic plug.
Use only Ingersoll Rand approved lubricants as listed in the Lubricant – Section 8 of this
manual.
Attention!
Ester oils are strongly hygroscopic. Moisture chemically compounds with these oils.
Moisture cannot effectively be removed by evacuation. Avoid open exposure to
ambient air!
Dispose of waste oil properly!
Chlorinated oil is a pollutant.
