Installation Tip:
Place the bolts in the suction valve and
Screw them into the flange about 1 -2 turns.
Center the gasket between the suction

screwdriver while lifting up on the valve.
Tighten the suction valve bolts evenly.

: When replacing a Copeland 4DL 1500, or 4DP 1500 series
IR4B3139Q series IR Impact compressor must be used. If the

valve with a 3 1/8 flange vs. the
2 1/8" suction valve with the
2 11/16 flange.
The larger valve will require a
spacer which allows the valve to
be positioned above the valve
well to accept the larger valve
flange.
The spacer (A ) requires two
gaskets (B ) shown in figure11
All other suction valve sizes do
not require a spacer and will fit
in the suction well using a
single gasket.
