All compressors can be used with R134a, R404A, R507, and R407C whereby the
positive characteristics of ester lubricants are fully exploited. This is preferred
over a HCFC system with ester lubricant.
Compressor Retrofit
When replacing another manufacturer's compressor with an Ingersoll Rand
compressor, lubricant compatibility must be investigated. If the lubricant in the system is
listed in the Alternative Lubricants Table (shown on prior page), lost lubricant may be
replaced with that lubricant.
