Troubleshooting the Hydraulic
Control

Difficulty in connecting or disconnecting quick
couplers.
The pressure is not relieved (the quick coupler is
under pressure).
•
The power steering is turning with great
difficulty or it is not turning at all.
– The hydraulic-fluid level is low.
– The hydraulic-fluid temperature is too hot.
– The pump is not operating.
•
There are hydraulic leaks.
– The fittings are loose.
– The fitting is missing the O-ring.
•
An attachment does not function.
– The quick couplers are not fully engaged.
– The quick couplers are interchanged.
•
There is a squealing noise.
– Remove the valve left in the O
causing hydraulic fluid to flow over the relief
valve.
– The belt is loose.
•
The engine does not start.
The hydraulic lever is locked in the F
position.

separately; otherwise, the hood may blow off during

Allow the engine to cool before storing the machine
in any enclosure.
Do not store the machine or fuel container where
there is an open flame, spark, or pilot light, such
as on a water heater or other appliance.
Keep all parts of the machine in good working
condition and all hardware tightened.
Replace all worn, damaged, or missing decals.
Use care when loading or unloading the machine
into a trailer or a truck.
Use full-width ramps for loading the machine into
a trailer or a truck.
Tie the machine down securely.
