Installing and removing drives in the device (only possible with
standard enclosure)
7.7.1

Installing a 3.5" drive inside on the side panel of the device

On devices with a standard enclosure, you can install up to two 3.5" drives internally on the
right side panel of the device (viewed from the front of the device).
You will need one drive bay plate per drive.
The drives are then built into the device and are not accessible from the outside.
Only use original spare parts or components approved for this device. You can find
information on this under "Hardware accessories (Page 33)".
Requirement
• You are familiar with the important safety instructions under "Safety instructions on
device and system extensions (Page 50)".
• The device is fully disconnected from the mains voltage, see "Switching off the device
(Page 72)".
• Screwdriver TORX T10
Procedure
1. Open the device. See the notes under "Open the device (Page 77)".
2. Screw the drive to the drive bay plate (available as option, not included in scope of delivery)
at the marked holes.
