Engine speed limitation

Do not exceed max. engine speed of
XXXX rpm
The engine speed is automatically lim ited to
the speed disp layed in the driver information
system. This protects the engine from over-
heat ing.
The engine speed limitation deactivates once
the eng ine is no longer in the cr it ica l tempera-
ture range and you have released the acce lera-
tor peda l on ce.
If the engine speed lim itation was act ivated
by an eng ine control malfunction , the ind ica-
tor light

also turns on . Make sure that the
speed does not go above the speed displayed .
Drive to your authorized Audi dea ler immedi-
ately to have the malfunction corrected .

a rear fog light has failed . The position of
t he indicator light cor responds wit h the lo-
cation on the vehicle .
This wa rning can also occu r if the light switch
is in an unengaged posi t ion between two sym-
bols .
