Imprope rly positioned safety belts can
cause se rious personal injury in an acci-
de nt.
- The shoulder belt sho uld lie as close to
the cente r of the collar bone as poss ible
and should fit we ll on t he body. Hold t he
bel t above t he latch t ongue and pull it
even ly across t he chest so that it sits as
low as possible on the pelvis and there is
no press ure on the abdomen. The be lt
