Install the guide plate, ratchet shaft and ratchet on the starter

reel.

Install the friction plate A and friction spnng.

Grease the starter with low temperature grease.

Align the groove of the starter reel cover with the ratchet, and

secure with friction plate B and the starter reel cover bolt.

8) With a length of rope extendmg from starter reel notch, rotate

reel 3 full turns in dtrection of the arrow.

Hold reel and pull end of rope out of case and attach a spring

scale on to the end of the rope.

Check that the load on the rope is 0.6- 1.4 kg (1.3- 3 0 lb)

9) Feed the rope through starter grip and tie knot.

Pull the starter rope several times, and check that the ratchet is

operating properly.
