The lens is always set for DIRECT when the POWER switch is turned ON. If the COPY START
switch is pressed with the reproduction ratio set for other than DIRECT, AE measurement is per-
formed and, thereafter, the lens is moved to the ratio set.

The scanner is moved forward 120 mm' in preparation for
movement in reverse

For REDUCTION
The lens is moved to the home oosition.
Forward 2
In reverse 2
For ENLARGEMENT
The lens is moved to the position for DIRECT or position for the
reproduction ratio selected.
The scanner is returned to the home position.

'The lens moves the greatest distance when initially positioned for the 122% reproduction ratio; in terms of the
distance over which the scanner moves, it is about 120 mm.
