WARNING
Do not use the vehicle with the side
stand lowered, or if it cannot be
lifted correctly (or if it will not stay
up), otherwise the side stand might
touch ground and distract the rider
with the resulting possibility of los-
ing control of the motorcycle.
The cut-out ignition circuit has been
designed to ensure the rider raises
the side stand before putting the
motorcycle in movement. Therefore,
we ask that you check this system
regularly, as described below, and
have it repaired by a Keeway dealer if
it does not operate correctly.

Checking the front fork

The condition and operation of the front
fork must be checked as follows at the
intervals speci ed in the periodic mainte-
nance and lubrication chart.
To check the condition
Check the inner tubes for scratches, dam-
age and excessive oil leakage.
To check the operation

Place the vehicle on a at surface and
keep it upright.
WARNING
To avoid injury, securely support the
vehicle so there is no danger of it fall-
ing over.

Periodic maintenance and adjustment

While applying the front brake, push
down hard on the handlebars several
times to check if the front fork com-
presses and rebounds smoothly.
NOTICE
If the fork is damaged or does not op-
erate smoothly, have a Keeway deal-
er check or repair it.
