Press the power switch on the back of the Application Gateway (behind
the bezel door) to start it. Power on the personal computer that you will
connect to it.
Connect the Ethernet crossover cable to an Ethernet port on your personal
computer and to the interface port 0 (LAN1) of the Application Gateway.
Change the IP address of your personal computer so that you can establish
a point-to-point subnet between it and the Application Gateway:
On your personal computer, right-click Network Places and choose

In the Network Connections window, right-click Local Area

Connection and choose Properties.
On the General tab, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click

On the General tab of the Internet Protocol dialog box, select Use the

Click the Network tab, log in as root, and enter the root password

On the Network > Interfaces page, enter the IP address and netmask

Click Submit to save your changes. Close the Administration Tool.

Disconnect the Ethernet crossover cable from the Application Gateway.
Connect the 10/100 RJ45 NIC connectors located on the Application
