Verifying a Successful Memory Upgrade

Use the following procedure to ensure that the memory upgrade was
successful.
To verify a successful memory upgrade:
When upgrading to 1 GByte, the system responses indicate "1 GB" or
"1024 MB" instead of "512 MB".
Connect a standard serial interface (straight-through) cable to the
maintenance terminal and to the serial port on the back (not the front) of
the Application Gateway.
Using a terminal software program, such as Microsoft Windows
HyperTerminal, configure the terminal type of the maintenance terminal
serial port to "auto detect" terminal type.
Connect the power cable to the Application Gateway.
Press the power switch, the left-most button on the front of the

Application Gateway.

The following should appear on the maintenance terminal screen:

Hit <F2> if you want to run SETUP
