Removing Muffler and Heat Shield
Preparations, @ 3.1.

Remove the spark arrestor (if fitted).
N
Take out the screws (1).
N
Take out the screws (3).
N
Remove the muffler upper casing (2).
N
Remove the gasket (5).
N
Take out the screws (4).
N
Remove the muffler lower casing (6).
N
Remove the muffler gasket (7).
N
Remove the heat shield (8).
N

Installing Muffler and Heat Shield
If the sealing faces on the exhaust port, heat shield
N
(8) and muffler (6 and 2) are damaged: replace the
damaged parts (cylinder (9), heat shield (8), muffler
lower casing (6), muffler upper casing (2)).
Place the heat shield (8) on the cylinder (9).
N
Fit the muffler gasket (7).
N
Fit the muffler lower casing (6).
N
If the original screws (4) are re-used: Coat threads of
N
screws (4) with Loctite 242.
Insert and tighten down the screws (4) firmly.
N
Fit gasket (5) on muffler lower casing (6).
N
Fit the upper casing (2).
N
If the original screws (3) are re-used: Coat threads of
N
screws (3) with Loctite 242.
Insert and tighten down the screws (3) firmly.
N
If the original screws (1) are re-used: Coat threads of
N
screws (1) with Loctite 242.
Insert and tighten down the screws (1).
N
Install the spark arrestor (if fitted).
N
Calibrate the saw, @ 4.
N
The controller is optimally adjusted to suit the mechanical
and mechatronic components.
