MASTER CYLINDER

MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL

1. The brake master cylinder is located in the front-right
of the frame under the front cab assembly. To access
the master cylinder for purposes of removal, the
following components must be removed or relocated:
• Front Bumper (Remove)
• Front Cab / Storage Bin (Remove)
• Radiator (Remove upper fasteners. Lift radiator up
and pull forward for access.)
• Brake Pedal (Remove)
2. Remove the pressure switch

3. Remove the pressure switch from the master
cylinder. Have a cup under the fittings to catch brake
fluid that escapes the master cylinder.
CAUTION
Brake fluid will damage finished surfaces.Do not allow
brake fluid to come in contactwith finished surfaces.
NOTICE
Removing the pressure switch disconnects the left and
right front brake lines from the master cylinder. Make
note of the brake line locations to master cylinder.
4. Discard the sealing washers.
5. Loosen and remove the rear brake banjo bolt
the master cylinder. Allow fluid to drain into a cup.
NOTICE
Dispose of fluid properly. Do not re-use.
