16 Keyboard dialing

Keyboard dialing exceptions

Table 1contains exceptions to normal KBD operating procedures
including suggested corrective actions. (The Break key refers to the
Control-Z sequence.

Problem
Attempt to activate
unassigned feature
failed, or call attempt
failed.
Incoming or outgoing
call failed because of
communications
incompatibility.
Dialing aborted by
pressing Break key
(Control Z).
User pressed CR
only when prompted
for number input.
User input errors
committed.
DN input times-out,
or RAG activation
times-out.
RAG recall timeout
occurs.

Extended Hayes keyboard dialing

User input characteristics

Hayes Keyboard Dialing input must conform to the following
characteristics:
555-4001-110 Standard 09.03 July, 2002
Each command line must begin with the letters AT and end with a
carriage return. If the MADO is in autobaud mode, AT is used to set
