CHAPTER 5
Connecting Power
This chapter describes how to connect mains power to the OfficeServ 7200 system.
1

Precautions when Connecting Power

AC power is supplied to the Power Supply Unit (PSU) which charges the external bat-
tery. If the power is interrupted, the system can be operated using the charged power
of the external battery.
Take care when connecting power to the OfficeServ 7200 system:
The AC power of the system is designed for 110/220 V and is set to 220 V by de-
fault. (Set the 110/220 V switch to 110 V if using 110V power.)
If changing the AC power used, adjust the 110/220 V switch of all power supply
units connected to the chassis.
A single AC outlet should be used solely for the system's AC power. Sharing the
AC power with other devices can cause noise or a voltage drop, which may result
in a system malfunction (or even fire).
Use a stable power source that can supply AC continuouslypower since instanta-
neous power failures can cause malfunctions or battery failure.
