2.2 Mounting Control Modules
Mount control modules in slot 0 of the basic chassis and expansion chassis. The lo-
cations of slot 0 to slot 5 are shown in section 1. Chassis Configuration of this
chapter.
Control Module
MCP
LCP
The procedure for mounting the MCP module and the LCP module in each chassis
is as follows:
1. Check the exterior of the MCP module and the LCP module for any damage.
2. Align the MCP module with the guardrails of slot 0 of the basic chassis, and
slide the MCP module into the slot (Fig. 3.5).

Check the power when mounting or ejecting modules
Ensure that the chassis power is off when mounting or ejecting modules. Inserting
or ejecting a module while the power is on may damage the module.
