Information on regular maintenance work

observe service due dates
Maintenance work which is not carried out at
the right time or incompletely can lead to
increased wear and damage to the vehicle.
Adhere to the prescribed service inter‐
#
vals.
Always have the prescribed mainte‐

nance work carried out at a qualified
specialist workshop.
Notes on special service requirements
The prescribed service interval is based on nor‐

be performed more often than prescribed if the
vehicle is operated under arduous operating con‐
ditions or increased loads.
Arduous operating conditions include:
Regular city driving with frequent intermedi‐
R
ate stops
Frequent short-distance driving
R
Frequent operation in mountainous terrain or
R
on poor road surfaces
When the engine is often left idling for long
R
periods
Operation in particularly dusty conditions
R
and/or if air-recirculation mode is frequently
used
In these or similar operating conditions, have the
air filter, engine oil and oil filter, for example,
replaced more frequently.
If the vehicle is subjected to increased loads, the
tires must be checked more frequently. You can
obtain further information at a qualified specialist
workshop.
Non-operational times with the battery dis‐
connected
The ASSYST PLUS service interval display can
only calculate the service due date when the bat‐
tery is connected.
