NOTE:
1. The Switch's factory-default IP address is 192.168.0.100 with Submask 255.255.255.0 and a default
gateway of 192.168.0.254
2. The changed IP address take effect immediately after click on the OK button, you need to use the new
IP address to access the Web interface.
3. The changed IP address remains the original after reboot the Switch unless the configuration is saved.
To save the changed IP address, please move to System/Saving Parameters menu.

4.4.2.1 Theory

The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an application layer protocol that facilitates the exchange of
management information between network devices. It is part of the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) protocol suite. SNMP enables network administrators to manage network performance, find and
solve network problems, and plan for network growth.
An SNMP-managed network consists of three key components: Network management stations (NMSs), SNMP
agents, Management information base (MIB) and network-management protocol：
Network management stations (NMSs)：Sometimes called consoles, these devices execute management

workstation-caliber computers with fast CPUs, megapixel color displays, substantial memory, and abundant

Management Information Base (MIB)：A MIB is a collection of managed objects residing in a virtual
