Procedure
Upon beginning a session, the user interface is blank. To activate:
1. Press Return.
2. One of the following occurs:
If . . .
Security is disabled
Security is enabled
Attempting to access the
unit through Telnet and the
user interface is currently
in session
Attempting direct access
through the COM port and
the user interface is
currently in session
Communication Port and
Login Required
configuration options are
enabled and there is no
contention for the user
interface

Then . . .
The Main Menu screen
appears.
You are prompted for a
login ID and password
Logging In
(see on
page 3-1).
The message Connection
refused: appears.
(FrameSaver access unit
allows only one
connection at a time.)
The message User
Interface Already In Use
appears with the active
user's IP address.
The Login screen
appears.
Startup
What to do now?
Begin your session.
Enter your ID and
password. If Invalid
