Output Values—Failure and Default Modes of Operation
The following table provides output values for failure and default modes of operation, which can
be used for troubleshooting.
Situation
Receiver address = 000
Receiver address = 001 to 999 and:
• Receiver is powered up, but not is associated, or
• Receiver has received a disassociation request from the
associated sensor.
Receiver address = 001 to 999 and receiver has not
received a communication within 35 minutes from the
associated sensor.
Receiver has no power.
Thermistor in sensor has failed to either open or close.
Setpoint potentiometer has failed to either open or close.

Measuring Output Resistance

To measure the resistance of receiver outputs for zone temperature and setpoints for all models,
and heating setpoint and fan/system for the WDS:
Note: The output circuits are not electrically powered; consequently, resistance can be measured
1. Ensure that the GND-SIGNAL (black) wire and GND-POWER (yellow) wire share a common
2. Disconnect the ZONE (white) and the SETPOINT (RED) wires from the controller. Disconnect the

ground with the transformer (see
HEAT SETPOINT (brown) and FAN/SYSTEM (green) wires from the controller, if applicable.
a. All models: Measure between the GND-SIGNAL (black) wire and the SETPOINT (red) or the
ZONE (white) wire. Compare resistance measurements to those in
b. WDS only: Measure between the GND-SIGNAL (black) wire and the FAN/SYSTEM (green)
wire or the HEAT SETPOINT (brown) wire. Compare resistance measurements to those in
