Each bus user ’publishes’ its data on the bus and all the bus users configured accordingly obtain this data. Publication of this data is carried out by a ’bus administrator’ known as the ’Link Active Scheduler’, which controls the sequence of bus communication centrally.

    RID14 Appendix Appendix 14.1 Block model In the FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus all the device parameters are categorized according to their functional properties and task and are generally assigned to three different blocks. A block may be regarded as a container in which parameters and the associated functionalities are contained.
