ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) Replacement

ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) Removal
Chassis: Service and Repairs
1. Park the machine on a level surface and disengage the PTO. Stop the
engine, wait for all moving parts to stop and remove the key. Engage the
parking brake.
2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative cable first, then the positive
cable from the battery.
3. Remove the fuel tank.
4. Remove the hair pins and ROPS fold pins.
5. Lower the upper ROPS assembly to the full-down position.

6. Remove the LH shoulder bolt securing the upper ROPS assembly to the
lower ROPS assembly.
7. While supporting the upper ROPS assembly, remove the RH shoulder bolt
securing the upper ROPS assembly to the lower ROPS assembly.
Note: May need assistance to support the upper ROPS assembly.
Upper ROPS assembly is heavy, assistance or support is needed for
removal. Personal injury or damage may occur.
8. Lift the upper ROPS assembly away from the machine.
9. Remove the 4 (½ inch, 2 per side) bolts and lock nuts securing the lower
tubes to the chassis.
