Workflow for parallel mode:
1. Disconnect the power harness.
2. Do the Hardware settings inside the amplifier.
3. Connect the speakers in parallel mode to the
speaker harness (do not yet connect to the
amplifier).
4. Connect the power cable and start the amp.
5. Do the software settings and store them on any
preset.
6. Switch off the amplifier.
7. Connect the speaker harness to the amplifier
8. Turn on the amplifier.
BRIDGE MODE VS. PARALLEL
MODE
Bridge Mode
NOT SUPPORTED BY PDP‑E802DSP!
This connection equals a straight short and may
break your amplifier.
CH1
CH2
The Equivalent Circuit
Axis of Symmetry
Output Channels are connected in series
• Effective channel load impedance
becomes50% of the actually connected load.
• CH1/CH2 signals could be arbitrary and will
automatically sum up (mono mix)
Parallel Mode:
CH1
CH2
The Equivalent Circuit
Axis of Symmetry
• Channels are connected in parallel and thereby
share the current 50:50.
• Effective channel load impedance
becomes200% of the actually connected load.
• CH1/CH2 signals have to be 100% identical and
properly paralleled closest possible to each
output stage as otherwiseyou may break your
amplifier.
