What Happens When Fax/Tel Mode is Selected

Type of call
Telephone charges
begin for caller.
RING START TIME
(Factory default
setting = 8 sec.)
F/T RING TIME
(Factory default
setting = 22 sec.)
You can select these options in the RX MODE submenu of the RX
SETTINGS menu when Fax/Tel Mode is selected. See below for details
on changing the settings.

*In Australia, the fax plays "You are connected. Please hold." after answering.

MultiPASS L60 answers without ringing*
MultiPASS L60 listens for FAX TONE
(For 8 sec.)
FAX TONE is not detected
MultiPASS L60 starts ringing
If you don't pick up the handset
(within 22 sec.)
F/T SW ACTION
Choose between:
RECEIVE (factory default setting) and DISCONNECT
RECEIVE
(Factory default setting)
Not all fax machines are capable of sending a FAX
TONE. For those cases if you set the F/T SW
ACTION to RECEIVE, the MultiPASS L60
switches to receive mode automatically and starts
receiving the document. If no document comes in,
it disconnects after approximately 35 seconds.
