Problems Feeding Paper into the MultiPASS L60

If you are having problems feeding paper into the MultiPASS L60,
check the following table.

Whenever you correct one of these problems, be sure to remove the
paper from the multi-purpose tray and reload it. See page 2-35.
The following problems can also cause the paper to jam in the unit. See
page 11-5 for instructions on clearing paper jams.

Possible cause
The multi-purpose tray
may contain too many
sheets.
Paper may not be inserted
correctly in the multi-
purpose tray.
A sheet is set in the manual
feed slot.
Certain types of paper may
not feed properly through
the manual feed slot.
Solution
Make sure the multi-
purpose tray is not filled
past the limit. See page 2-35.
Make sure paper is inserted
all the way into the multi-
purpose tray. See page 2-35.
When a sheet is set in the
manual feed slot, the
MultiPASS L60
automatically feeds the
sheet set in this slot. Make
sure there is no sheet in the
manual feed slot.
Try feeding the paper
through the multi-purpose
tray. To do this, temporarily
remove any paper from the
multi-purpose tray and feed
through it the paper you are
having difficulty with.
