ip route-preference
Command Mode: Configuration
Description
Assign preference values to routes. The IP routing table uses these
values to determine the best routes. The no form of this command
restores the default.
Command Syntax
ip route-preference {local|rip|ospf-intra| ospf-inter|ospf-extra|static-hp|static-
lp} <value>
[no] ip route-preference {local|rip|ospf-intra| ospf-inter|ospf-extra|static-
hp|static-lp} <value>

Definition
The route keywords are:
• local - locally connected routes.
• rip - route learned via the RIP protocol.
• ospf-intra - OSPF intra-area routes.
• ospf-extra - OSPF external routes
• static-hp - high preference static routes.
• static-lp - low preference static routes.
Preference value assigned to the specified
route. The higher the value, the more
preferable the route.
