ip mac-format

Command Mode: Configuration
Description
Set the MAC format of the IP interfaces. The no form of this
command restores the default ethv2.
Command Syntax
ip mac-format {ethv2|snap}
[no] ip mac-format {ethv2|snap}

Definition
Set the MAC format of the IP interface to either
ethv2, which is the default, or to snap (Subnetwork
Access Protocol).
Sample Output
This example sets the MAC format of the IP interfaces, on serial
interface 0, to the Subnetwork Access Protocol (snap).
