Command Mode: Configuration
Description
Enable the forwarding of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) broadcasts.
The no form of this command disables the forwarding of UDP
broadcast packets to an address. The default state is disabled.
Command Syntax
ip helper-address <address> [{tftp|dns|time| netbios-name|netbios-
date|bootp-server| bootp-client|tacacs}]
[no] ip helper-address <address> [{tftp|dns|time| netbios-
name|netbios-date|bootp-server| bootp-client|tacacs}]

Definition
The destination broadcast or host address to which
UDP broadcast packets are forwarded. There can be
more than one helper address per interface. Options
are:
• tftp
• dns
• time
• netbios-name
• netbios-data
• bootp-server
• bootp-client
• tacacs
