Hexadecimal control codes

All Hexadecimal control codes should be converted to their Decimal equivalent and
placed in brackets.
For example, if the serial code to power off an NEC Plasma (02 03 00 0E) was being learned you would
need to enter the serial string as shown below.
A Carriage Return and Line Feed were added at the end of the serial string;
<13><10>. An ASCII character table, complete with Hexadecimal and Decimal
codes, can be found in Appendix B – ASCII Control Set on page 43.
Notice that instead of entering <0E>, the example shows <14>, where 14 is the decimal value equivalent
for the hexadecimal value of 0E (FIG. 51).

Once the serial commands are learned, the TVM-RX03 unit is now configured for that
screen type only.

Saving the serial file to a PC

The serial protocol is stored on the receive unit and rather than repeat the above process, it is possible to
copy (get) a serial control table from one receive unit to others across the network.
1. To capture the serial control table, use the following command (FIG. 53);

2. After hitting enter, the Transfer Successful message (FIG. 54) should be returned.

Where sname is a user-defined name for the serial file, as long as it starts with an "s" e.g.
sSonyLCD.001. The file extension is the port number the TVM-RX03 is connected to.
Port 1 is .001 through port 16, which is .016.
