Serial Display Device Control
The Endeleo Managed TV solution supports the learning of serial commands for display devices. For
example it is possible to turn a TV, LCD or Plasma on and off from the TVM-1600 over a serial
connection.
This section describes how to learn the Serial Protocols for the TV screen and save it to the TVM-RX03
unit. An RS232 cable is then connected to the TVM-RX03 and attached to the TV screen's RS232
control port.
Important Notes:
1. The serial commands learned are stored on the receive unit.
2. Care should be taken when moving receive units between different end devices, as commands
stored in one RX may be different to those in another RX.

Configuration
A console session needs to be opened on the Managed TV hub, and a TVM-RX02 or TVM-RX03 unit
connected to any port from 1 through 16 on the TVM-1600 hub. Console settings are as follows:
The two stages for learning IR Protocols are:
1. Initialize the TVM-RX03 for serial code learning and the device's baud rate
2. Learn the serial code for specific functions for the display device
Initialize the receive unit for serial control and the display device's baud rate
1. Ensure a Console session to the TVM-1600 has been initiated:
