2. Click on the relevant port hyperlink e.g. Port 1 (FIG. 17). Leave the IR remote type at 02 and
address at 110.
By default, this should be set to IR Remote Type 2 with an Address of 110. Do NOT
change unless advised to do so by AMX technical support.

Device Port

This option is for setting what, if any, back end devices the port will have control of.
The TVM has the ability to control Back End devices such as DVD Players, VCRs or Cable/Satellite
Receivers. This can be setup so that the end user can change to a channel that one of these devices is
modulated on and then control that device through the TVM system.
The Devices are setup and managed from the Devices Page, which is described in Section 4 of this
document.
The Device Port drop down arrow (FIG. 18) will have six listings. These listings will be;

Pass through Device options

No device at the TVM port

Selecting None will stop any pass-through back end device control for that port.
1. Click on the Status page.
2. Click on the port name hyperlink to display the port's properties.
3. From the Device Port options click on None. No device will be controlled at this port.

Shared

Selecting Shared will grant access for that port to control all devices setup on the TVM Hub.
1. Click on the Status page.
2. Click on the port name hyperlink to display the port's properties.
3. From the Device Port options click on Shared. All devices can be controlled at this port.

Named Device

Select any one of the named devices grants pass-through access to that device only.
1. Click on the Status page.
2. Click on the port name hyperlink to display the port's properties.
3. From the Device Port options click on the required device. Only the selected device will be
controlled at this port.
