Selecting a Device Protocol

The Protocol drop down box displays the pre-learned IR protocols for the remote devices. This is the
protocol used by Device's Remote Control to power off, power on etc.
To assign a protocol to a device:
1. Click on the Devices option.
2. Click on the downward arrow in the Protocol column for the relevant device.
3. Select the correct protocol (previously learned) to be assigned to this device.
For more information on IR protocol learning, refer to the Advanced Administration
section of this manual.

Device Control

The bottom bar of the status page allows a limited range of Integrated Device Management instructions
to be performed (FIG. 13).

Several commands are available, depending on which control option is selected. Some sample controls
are explained below;
It is possible to send two commands to a device(s) using a single instruction. This is particularly useful
where the display device does not return from standby into AV mode.

Power Off – Sends infrared or serial code associated with powering a display device off.
Power On – Sends infrared or serial code associated with powering a display device on.
A/V select –Sends infrared or serial code associated with selecting AV input on a display
device.
Play – play the device.
